NEW RELEASE FROM 35g RECORDS: AQUARIUM POPPERS - RECOMANDER TUNES IN VARIOUS STATIONS (7" vinyl and CD-R formats) Norway's 35g Records is proud to announce the second release from our psychedelic pop flagship Aquarium Poppers (or Aq Pop to fans and friends). Based in Trondheim, Norway, Aq Pop consists of Thor Jørgen Holm from the Chime Poppers and Karl Morten Dahl of various Aquariums. The resulting music is melodic yet adventurous, building on the strengths of both musicians' individual styles. Holm and Dahl use their diverse influences (60s pop, psychedelic, folk, lo-fi rock, etc.) to create an original sound based on the ethic that the song is most important and arrangements should reflect the feeling of each song. Continuing in the tradition of Aq Pop's debut single "Find The Tunes"/ "Jamison" (released on 35g earlier this year), "Recomander Tunes In Various Stations" features catchy tunes, lots of guitars, vocal harmonies and some cool sonic surprises. The limited edition EP will be released on the 26th of November 2001 and will be available directly from 35g Records, at the Coffee Annan recordstore in Trondheim or on-line at Popopdrops (Norway), Hype City Records (Norway), Apartment (Norway), Get Happy (Germany), Norman Records (England), Akane (Japan) and rednailmusic.com (U.S.). More info (including cover art and mp3 clips) can be found at our website at 35grecords.exitflagger.com. The band's website is aqpop.fupp.net.
