Var. Art: SELFINDULGENT MONO-MINDS - 2xLP + 10" - 35g Recordings: Motorpsycho is in my opinion not a band or a projects, itīs Norway's only Rock Group. And rock groups deserve tribute-albums by fan-club members trying as hard as they can to impress audiences with their own 'versions'. And since Motorpsycho is well known to twist the mono-minds of their hardcore completist collectors by pushing out a variety of limited/exclusive produce, this just had to be a vinyl-set of dimentions. Many acts here are obscure members of the international lo-fi conspiracy, taking music into the kitchens. Some are sweet, some fast, some are but charmingly shallow poptunes. Some are plain boring, but some have a sense of integrity. Some good ones are The White Birch version of the notorious track Demon Box, Tacoheads in Frances and Hobbits in Nothing To Say. Another fine entry is (obviously) the Krank doctor Ring with his version of Waiting For The One. Other artists from our gang is Origami Republika in an easy-made cd-skip processing of the Un Chien d'Espace intro, the happynoise navigator Lasse Marhaug does Home Of The Noise, simply a blast off homage (?) to rock, mellow Slowburn in Vortex Surfer and finally Mrs. Hippi doing something to Heartattack Mac with dildo-solo and basssss. Snah's day off? Motorpsycho is best at 26,7 rpm. I hear thereīs a live-album coming out this spring, and I already recommend it unheard. These guys are really good live, and they travel a lot on the continent, so go there if you see a concert poster in your town! Contact: 35g,
